Anchor text is visible and clickable link text on the website. The user clicks on it and is taken to another page - either on the same website or somewhere else entirely. Correct anchor text helps people understand where the legacy leadswhile at the same time tells the search engineswhat the landing page is about. It is most often underlined or differentiated by colour. Sometimes it is also called anchor text.
