What is more convincing than empty promises? Well, your real results. But you must learn to present your achievements properly. Because mediocre case studies don't get anyone out of their chair. Learn to write them properly.
Why are case studies hot?
73 % of the most successful content marketers uses case studies (= case studies). And the others must be keeping their know-how to themselves.
Case studies are the best way to gain trust. 100 times better than the most sophisticated claim.
Why do they have the power to attract new clients?
- Increase credibility: the case studies are proof that your solution works in practice.
- They show reality, not promises: you don't say what you can do, but you've already done it.
- Content that won't get lost: case studies can be used in marketing in a hundred ways.
- It will reveal how you work: the client finds out if he's a match.
They're simply amazingly convincing. But there's a catch. They have to be really well made.
Better 1 top than 10 average
I've read a lot of case studies. But most of them were missing something. They had structure and clearly described outcomes. But they lacked a story. Emotion. And the data. But unfortunately, no one will be convinced by paragraphs without energy.
So my advice to clients is this: do you have limited time? Never mind. Write to 1-3 really sophisticated case studies. Make it worth it. Pick those examples from practice where you have really cool results or an interesting story. And sell them. It's still better than 10 mediocre ones.
What should not be missing in the TOP case study?
1. Story by - case study is not just dry data. Tell me. Don't be afraid of details.
2. Background - put the reader in context. What was the challenge? How was the project different?
3. Data - the numbers are pulling, so take advantage of it. Support your narrative with concrete statistics, graphs and charts.
4. Client Statements - will increase your credibility and give you a new perspective you might not have thought of.
5. CTA - Subtly insert a call to action between the text to get the potential client where they need to go.
6. Visuals - photos, screenshots or videos. Feel free to add anything interesting you have on hand.
